Initiative: The University will conduct a comprehensive study of campus-wide communications CC - to determine the most effective methods of engaging and informing all forms of students, administrators, and faculty members. Initiative: The University will update the website to the most current version of Drupal CC - complete reformation of the website's format and font to be ADA-compliant, a redesign of the website to better serve current students and faculty, improvement of the intelligent search functions within the website, and reform the corresponding app to better serve the campus population.
Initiative: Enhance Communications OEFS - Build an infrastructure and culture that will enhance the effectiveness, transparency and efficiency of University communication, both internal and external. Initiative: The University will institute comprehensive training and communication systems for all employees CC - in order to promote heightened understanding of campus policies and procedures, heretofore referred to as The Training and Communication Life Cycle.
This new practice will focus on three key elements: on-boarding of new staff and faculty, ongoing trainings for current staff and faculty with a concentrated emphasis on safety initiatives such as primary prevention of sexual assault, cultural competency, and de-escalation techniques, and promotion of opportunities for internal connections and network building.

These opportunities include formal classroom instruction, study abroad, community-based learning, and intentional co-curricular programs. Initiative: Build an inclusive campus climate EOA - by creating expectations and support for faculty, staff, and student leaders to regularly participate in culturally responsive learning opportunities.
Initiative: Prioritize diversity in the curriculum EOA - by formally assessing diversity learning outcomes university-wide. Initiative: The University will facilitate the establishment of a Campus Climate Task Force CC - that will consist of students, staff, and faculty in equal proportion. The team will audit the campus climate, act as campus climate ambassadors, provide resource recommendations to the administration, and help to facilitate acts to improve the campus climate.

Initiative: Walk the Talk CPECL - Align university policies, procedures and administrative systems with goals of community engagement and partnership agenda. This integration will include greater expansion of internship-based capstones within the metropolitan area, further promotion and investment in well-functioning internal programs such as New Leadership Oregon, and additional investment in civic partnerships with city organizations such as the Portland Art Museum and the Northwest Film Center.
